Our log supplies are all from sustainable sources, meaning we only use trees that are diseased, wind blown, forestry thinnings or those which are set for removal – so you can be safe in the knowledge that none of the trees we use are cut down just for the purpose of firewood or wood burning logs.
The wood used for our log supplies is well seasoned for less moisture and a better burn, while it freely burns without the release of harmful chemicals that can cause damage to the environment and to your chimney. In technical terms it’s better for the environment because the amount of carbon dioxide freed into the atmosphere is the equal to that absorbed by the tree during growth.
We use both softwood and hardwood log supplies and both can adapt to various uses. Softwood, sourced from pine and fir wood, is ideal for wood burning in stoves and various closed appliances in the home, the type you’d see in the movies, which get hot very quickly. Alternatively, hardwood firewood, which consists of ash, beech, birch, elm and oak, offers a very intense heat and burns for much longer, making it ideal for the outdoors.
Our range of wood burning logs come in three options of hardwood and softwood on their own, or a mixture of the two and quantities arrive in 25kg with a minimum order of 10 bags.
