If there’s one thing that we know about more than most – it’s golden gravel. This uniquely shaped rock type is made up of a variety of stones, each of which bring their own individual colour and tone to the mix. Alone, they might look like nothing more than pebbles that you may find at a beach, but when combined into larger quantities, they create some of the most versatile gravel on the planet.
We offer options for 25kg, single tonne and multi-tonne orders, meaning that no matter how large or small your garden space, drive, or walkway – you’ll be able to customise your order to suit you. Where our golden gravel really excels is in its great level of versatility. Measuring roughly 20mm from edge to edge, once applied you’ll find that the entire area is easy to flatten and more than capable of carrying even the heaviest of weight.
It’s not just the versatility either, a lot of the reason why we are so proud of our product is the cost. You won’t find anywhere cheaper for your gravel in Manchester. Once your order arrives, you’ll see just how high the level of quality is – a quality that we pride ourselves on and one that has helped us to develop our reputation as the best garden suppliers in Lancashire over the past few years.
Lancashire plays host to a variety of waterways and that’s exactly where our Lancashire river gravel is sourced from. We always harvest our gravel with the environment in mind, and fortunately with so much to go around – we can provide the highest quality gravel for landscaping projects of all sizes. River gravel is especially useful for home owners with small children and pets.
Although small in size, the natural erosion processes that these pebbles are exposed to ensures that they are well rounded and free from sharp edges. Being predominantly round, they are very easy to flatten and simple to maintain. There’s no sacrifice in favour of safety as far as the aesthetics are concerned, either. With a variety of shapes and colours within each bag – it’s possible to achieve a very stylish display with minimal fuss.
Watering the stones will keep them clear from debris and other organic materials such as lichen and moss, but it is important to wash them under a low pressure as the smaller size can make them prone to shooting off in different directions. When rinsed carefully however, the results are astounding. Just a few patches of river gravel can enhance the look of any garden space and when used in driveways and paths – you’ll experience a comfortable space that lasts for years at a time without showing any signs of wear or tear.
Like Lancashire, Staffordshire offers its own unique flow of streams and estuaries and although the gravel may be similar in size – the colours couldn’t be any more different. Our Staffordshire pink gravel is as unique as its name would suggest, pink in hue. This soft pink shade is simply stunning and can add a bright section to any location within a garden.
Pink gravel is ideal for flower beds as the fine composition will add a degree of saturation that can complement flowers of all colours and styles. It’s also good for paths that could do with a little more vibrancy and as the consistency of each stone is so accurate, there’s never a risk of the pebbles detracting from the overall aesthetics of your garden furniture or features.
These are just a few of our fantastic gravel types. For more gravel supplies in Lancashire, check out our online store. We also stock larger river cobbles and duck stones to complement water features, as well as more rigid pebbles for a really unique look and feel when it comes to designing the aesthetics of your garden.
