Our green treated garden timber sleepers are new sleepers made from high-quality softwood. They’ve undergone tanalisation, a process that involves applying TANALITH® E wood preserver whilst under pressure, ensuring that the sleepers are protected from rot, dampness, and decay for many years. Despite tanalisation being a chemical treatment, it is completely safe for children and pets, unlike creosote which is commonly used on reclaimed wooden sleepers.
Garden sleepers 2.4 m
Our new garden timber sleepers are 2.4m or 2400mm long, 200m high and 100mm wide. Uniform in size and condition, they are easy to install in your outdoor space and unlike reclaimed railway sleepers, they have tidy edges for a cleaner finish. Customers who prefer a rustic look but don’t want creosote impregnated wood often refinish the sleepers themselves to add character.
Versatile wooden sleepers for the garden and more
Our wooden sleepers are perfect for raised beds, flower beds, and retaining walls, and are suitable for both domestic and commercial use. They are safe to use in kitchen gardens and allotments where vegetables will be grown as the chemical treatment will not leach into the soil or other growing medium.
Sleepers will be delivered with a light green hue before going on to develop an attractive silver-grey appearance after being sun-bleached and exposed to the elements, a process that usually takes 3-6 months.
Garden sleepers for sale
At just £16.00 (ex. VAT) our sleepers are the most affordable in the local area. Where competitors have cheaper sleepers, these tend not to be tanalised to the same standard as the products we supply to our customers.
We will deliver the product via grab truck, allowing us to place the sleepers right where you need them (depending on access and conditions on site when we arrive).
